Samsung Galaxy Note (our opinion)

Halfway between the tablet and smartphone, the new Samsung mobile clouds the issue.
Between the two camps, his heart really balance.
We were able to conduct a fairly comprehensive handling of the product, here are our first impressions.
Announced at the beginning of September at IFA in Berlin, the Galaxy Rating Samsung has been rather quiet since.
But wait coming to an end since the product will not be long to come out.
In France, it will initially be available in preview SFR from November 2, then with the other operators.
It was announced at a price of 679 euros excluding pack, but is expected to be less than 200 euros with a subscription.

Note the Samsung Galaxy is really up to the boundary between smartphones and tablets with its 5.3 inch screen. To simplify, we could almost say that it is a mutated S2 Galaxy. It shares many characteristics with it.
It offers the same dual-core processor Samsung Exynos, supported by a graphics chip and Mali 400 1 GB of RAM.
Except that this processor is clocked at 1.5 GHz here instead of 1.2 GHz on the Galaxy S2.
There is also a photo sensor 8-megapixel autofocus capable of shooting in HD on both models.
We enjoy the European launch in London to handle length.
We are here primarily focus on the features that set it apart from the Galaxy S2. But of course we will return in more detail all the functions in the complete test that we will not fail to offer the product release.
Here are our first impressions :
• Design 
With a 5.3 inch screen, the Galaxy Rating is obviously the largest smartphone market. It could hardly be otherwise with a display of this size. In fact, with its dimensions of 146.9 x 83 mm, it is unthinkable to use the product with one hand. But with both hands, use differs little from that end of the major smartphones like the HTC Galaxy S2 or Sensation and Titan.
The rating is also good niche between the thumb and the phalanges.
Its handling is very good. Above all, Samsung has managed to develop its product with a remarkable finesse with 9.7 mm. Despite his size very discreet, the Note fits easily into the pocket of pants or a jacket.
Even if his presence can not be completely forgotten. However, it is a story of compromise, and those who want to enjoy all that brings more trouble-free product will support the extra weight.

• S-Pen 
We were pretty skeptical about the announcement of the Galaxy rating the usefulness of the pen.
but The system of note taking is very well thought out because even if you are limited by the size of the screen, you can easily navigate between pages.
This pen also seems to be a boon for those who want to draw or make sketches on the screen of their device.
During the presentation, an artist drew on the real-time rating Galaxy and the result was really impressive precision.
Similarly, the S-Pen can annotate and make notes on all applications, and even videos.
In short, the stylus is really not a gadget. This is just the beginning because Samsung has released the SDK to allow third party developers to offer applications for the S-Pen.

• Screen 
Note The display is absolutely stunning.
It proposed to start a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
Reduced to 5.3-inch screen, the resolution offers a display of a truly extraordinary finesse.
So much so that it is even possible to read, albeit with minimal effort, title displayed little classic on a Web page in portrait mode! And when we move the camera in landscape mode, it is a real joy because there is no need to zoom in on anything, everything is perfectly visible.
The intrinsic quality of the display is also a very good rating because the features a Super AMOLED screen. It is among the best on the market in terms of contrast, brightness and deep black. However, the colors are still saturated.
This pleases the overwhelming majority of users, but can put off those who prefer a color rendering a bit more natural.

As you can probably understand from reading the few lines above, our first impressions on the Samsung Galaxy is very positive note.
The Korean manufacturer has really succeeded in giving a unique position to its new smartphone.
Not only because of the size of the screen, but also because of the brilliant and inventive use of S-Pen.
