"iTaxitop": advertiser Screens and Wi-Fi for London taxis

The passengers of black cabs will soon be surfing the web address when they are stuck in traffic so dense London. After a test scheduled in November, the famous taxis of the British capital could be equipped with an internet connection - a move not unrelated to the preparation of the Olympic Games, to enable visitors to read and send messages during stay.
These devices are part of the proposed Eyetease Media, inspired by advertising fitted to theroofs of taxis in New York.
Instead of the traditional posters, iTaxitop system based on digital screens, scrolling ads that fitthe location of the taxi.
5000 taxis should be fitted at the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games next summer.
Technology embedded in taxis, London lags behind in New York - if some black cabs are equipped with televisions, this is rarely the system touch screen and Wi-Fi found in New Yorktaxis.
Richard Corbett of Media Eyetease told Relaxnews that the technology proposed by his company "aroused considerable interest throughout the world," with potential customers in the United States, Canada, Sweden and Spain.
