New record for Apple. The computer maker announced Monday the sale of over four million copies of its new phone model multifunctional iPhone 4S during its first three days on the market, between Friday and Sunday. Philip Schiller, Apple's marketing director in a statement welcomed this very good start, "a record for a phone and more than double for the launch of the iPhone 4" in June 2010.
The iPhone 4S offers a sophisticated voice command named Siri. It is on sale from Friday in seven countries, the United States, France, Canada, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and Australia, and is due out October 28 in 22 additional countries. The multifunction phone costs between 200 and 400 dollars depending on its storage capacity, with phone plan. Apple stores and boutiques telephone operators were attacked Friday in the seven countries where the equipment was sold, and this, less than ten days after the death of the legendary cofounder Steve Jobs.
