All about Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich!

Google has officially announced that the next update of its smartphone operating system Android is 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Presentations.
Had waited for over two weeks, Google has finally given the details of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Screenshots until we had already achieved a few days ago, giving us a taste of the look of ICS. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus announced at the same time will be the first smartphone to have the honor of Android 4.0.

This version has big ambitions as it is the one to unify the Android version 2.x to 3.x for Android smartphones and tablets.
We have compiled a list of main new features. This list is not exhaustive since we have mainly concentrated on you the most important new features.  But you will see that there is already plenty to do. You will find at the end of the article the official video presentation.
• A graphical interface that evolves Android 4.0 draws heavily on the visual version 3.x Honeycomb tablets. We find the same style "neon" that will not please everyone, but gives a modern touch to the whole. The graphic effects are even more numerous and worked before.  • Farewell to the buttons on the front As HoneyComb, Google has integrated hardware buttons by turning them into virtual keys.
In addition to the notifications bar at the top of the screen, there is now another bar always visible at the bottom. It includes default buttons "back", "Home" and "recent applications", the latter being in fact the manager multitasking. But there are other keys appear depending on the context.

• A multi-tasking much more visual Multitasking is one of the major points of Android. Google improves this function with the button "recent applications" which is now always visible. No need to hold down the "Home" button then. Implementation graph of this function is also much more convincing than in the past, because Google has taken on the same principle as HoneyComb. The manager has a miniature multi-tasking applications recently opened. Visually, the result is certainly more pleasant than before.

• The system tray is the yo-yo Depending on the size of the display device, the location of the system tray will change. In short, for those with a large screen, this bar will be placed at the bottom, in the wake of the bar with the virtual buttons. And for those who have a small screen, the notifications will be displayed at the top. Clearly, on this point, ICS will act as the current versions of Android 2.x and 3.x.
• The adjustable widgets Again, this is a feature of HoneyComb who is invited in ICS. The 4.0 update will indeed adjust the size of widgets manually. A convenient feature of HoneyComb because it allows you to customize even more space on desks. And the smaller screens of smartphones, this option should not be a luxury.

• New actions on the lock screen Additional duties of the home screen are not new per se, especially for owners of recent HTC Android smartphones. However, Google has decided to propose on Android 4.0, which is pretty good news. Users will be able to go directly to the camera function, see the system tray, manage music playback, view and send messages and make calls.

• Tabs in the Browser Those with a tablet certainly will raise an eyebrow questioningly at this point because the tabs (tabs) are present from the start of HoneyComb. But it was not the case so far on smartphone. Injustice is now fixed and everyone will take advantage of the tabs.

• Simple steps Google promises to close an application from the list of recent apps, remove a tab or remove a notification, simply now just a lateral movement of the finger.
• textual features and enhanced voice ICS offers more possibilities when entering text. It allows to add a particular word in the dictionary faster than before. Similarly, Google ensures that the speech recognition engine to Android 4 is brand new and much more powerful than before. The publisher says that this engine can talk a long time, punctuating sentences, and even taking poses.

• A more precise control of data exchange Android 4.0 will allow to manage a more extensive exchange of data by calculating the precise amount of data consumed by each application. The result is presented as a histogram and pie perfectly readable and understandable.

• Profiles and social contacts Google puts more emphasis on social networks, but it is difficult to go beyond that already offer manufacturers like HTC. The new application Entertainment revisits the app address book introducing massive social networks, with high profile photo for each contact, and all information that ICS can glean on social networks.

• The picture The interface of the camera function is also changing for the better. Google introduced several new features such as continuous autofocus, image stabilization for zooms, etc.. We can even take a picture while the camera films simply by pressing the touch screen. Face detection is also being introduced, and the opportunity to focus on the area of the screen that the user touches the finger. Finally, a panaroma mode allows you to take a panoramic photo (so) simply by slowly rotating the device.
• A revised and updated photo gallery with an image editor Although many free applications already allowed to retouch photos, Google has had the good sense to integrate this function directly in the image gallery. Many effects are now in the program.

• Effects of changes in real-time video One of the most interesting developments in multimedia for Android 4.0 is definitely the possibility of applying video effects in real time as changing the background or deformation of faces go far enough. These effects are available when the user shoots or via Google Talk.

• Finally screenshots Google has finally deigned to add a simple and mostly native to make screenshots with a combination of physical keys. These catches are then (and logically) stored locally as classic images.

• The synchronization and a user agent Google said that if you use the Chrome browser on your desktop or laptop, you can synchronize bookmarks with the Android browser. The latter can finally be configured as a desktop browser, so that the mobile web site is displayed so insistent and you want the real traditional web page.
• Beam Android, the NFC Sauce social This is the one that could democratize the NFC faster than expected. It makes it possible for two people with smartphones NFC to share music, photos, videos, etc.. simply by touching their phone within seconds. Without opening a menu or launch application, or do anything else!

• A screen unlock facial recognition ICS offers a way of unlocking very original since it allows the screen unlocks using facial recognition of the user, simply by standing right in front of the camera face. Fortunately, a more classic is scheduled for plan B.

Finally, promise is a promise, here's the official video presentation of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
