The Amazon Kindle Fire shakes prices of Android tablets !!

The BlackBerry and HTC Flyer PlayBook will be sold at least $ 200 Best Buy U.S. distributor. A study by iSuppli confirms that the tablet from Amazon will be sold at a loss.
The presentation of the Amazon Kindle Fire alarms manufacturers Android tablets. Fixed on the iPad, they mostly chose to follow the prices of Apple, or 499 dollars (489 euros in France). Among the best known brands, only the French and Taiwanese Acer Archos Asus and really stood out, with competitive models around 300 euros.
That time seems gone. On United States, the HTC Flyer is now sold $ 299 by the distributor specializing Best Buy, 200 dollars less than when it was launched in May.
At this price, it is still $ 100 more expensive than its new competitor to Amazon for a similar 7-inch format. It still benefits from a 16 GB storage, twice as large, a memory card slot and a stylus for writing and drawing on the screen more easily.
Last week, Best Buy had applied the same drastic reduction on the price of the tablet of Research In Motion. The PlayBook, which integrates also a touch screen of 7 inches, $ 299 will be sold until mid-October in its Wi-Fi with 16GB storage Barnes & Noble, meanwhile, has decided to grant $ 25 discount to buyers of Color Nook, a price of 224 dollars.

Amazon sacrifice margins to enter the market :

The commercialization of the next Amazon Kindle Fire only $ 199 was a surprise. According to preliminary estimates from research firm iSuppli, Amazon has chosen to sacrifice its margins to fall below $ 200. By adding the price of components and manufacturing costs, the cost of the Kindle Fire is estimated at 209.63 dollars, 87 dollars just for the touch screen.
With this aggressive strategy, Amazon hopes to position itself to market quickly and to catch up by selling its content on digital music books, movies and applications. "No other manufacturer can offer a tablet designed to promote the sales of content," wrote iSuppli, which expects the Kindle Fire becomes the first competitor of the iPad.
