Mastercard PayPass NFC for two BlackBerry
RIM announces the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone is the first in the world to be certified Mastercard PayPass.
NFC technology takes its time to get to us.
Despite an impressive number of tests of any kind conducted in the four corners of France in recent years, the first major deployment has only recently been established with the operation Cityzi.
And yet, no national in scope.
It is in this context that RIM has announced that its BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360 smartphones are the first in the world to be certified Mastercard PayPass.
This certification will allow those who own one of these smartphones to pay by placing their phones on a good dedicated in a shop for example.
France Telecom - Orange is among the first to benefit from the certification granted to RIM.
All that remains now is to deploy POS terminals that allow merchants to accept payments by NFC ...
